Celtic FiddleSearch: Young May Moon by: Various Artists Release Date November 20, 2000 When I first heard the CD I wasn't vastly impressed (especially as the first one was faulty) but bought it as it had loads of tunes on it and I'm just starting to try to learn some of this stuff. The presentation has little variation (like none!) but the more I play it the better it gets for my purposes i.e. 1. Tunes I can get my fingers round and 2. Some excellent slow airs that I've not heard elsewhere so I've enjoyed playing it for more hours than any CD I've got except perhaps Iona's "Heaven's Bright Sun"(vastly different). The playing's a bit folky in places ie not perfect but has some good feeling which has grown on me the more I've listened. |
