It won the Gramophone choral award in 1987 but the star of this recording is the sublime and truly heavenly singing of Emma Kirby. The recording is a well balanced whole of exquiste moments. Sutherland's slightly deep toned color (a touch of mezzo-soprano color) and her slight vibrato technique make a wonderful counterpart of the evil queen contrasted to the group of the righteous. The choral singing is sublime, clear, direct and vibrant. This is must have for any ,not only for Handelians.

dreamboat annie was and will always be a rocK classic,i first heard heart many years ago when radio caroline(PIRATE STATION),used to plug and play dreamboat annie to death,anns vocals next to plants were the best i had ever heard,and now some 30 years later the jubil concert,fantastic updated sound,ok the guitar may not be what it was but hey move on the 70s are long gone,ann and nancy still have one of the tightest bands around and man she can still put most of the young female singers out there today to shame,with her magnificent vocal range(YOU ARE STILL NUMBER 1 ANN):
i dont need to write about the songs just go out and buy and watch one of the best band s from the states do their thing,picture quality and sound both get 5 stars,hopefully ... Read More:

In the mid seventies, two sisters named Ann and Nancy Wilson joined an all-male group that had previously gone under the name Army and White Heart. Although they had joined an all-male group, they quickly became the dominant members of the band. The band name was changed to Heart, and they eventually got a record deal - but it was on a little-known Canadian label known as Mushroom.
