Mick and co sound world weary and wiser - but still idealistic. Sounds very much like "The Bottom Line" and "E=MC2" from the first BAD LP crossed with "This Is England" from the Clash. Found myself agreeing with most of the ideas/sentiments in the lyrics as well. Not the best LP of the year for me but close! Jay-Z still (just) ahead on that score for me. |
