This is one of the most affecting films I've seen in a good long while. I'm going to however voice my laymans view which is it didn't impress me at all. Billed as satirical (perhaps I'm just not intelligent enough to appreciate this, but then I dare say I'm with a large percentage of other folks nodding) it begins with the oddball (physically and mentally) inmates of some kind of Chechen asylum that seem to take over in the absence of the Doctor who disapears to get busses but is held up by rebel fighters?!?!. At first when I saw Bryan Adams singing on a train I thought I was having manifested delusions myself but sure enough he kept on cropping up singing!
It somewhat reminds me of a Jeunet, particularly delicatessen - kind of grim, surreal ... Read More:
