The Grinch feels like a movie made for two reasons: to cash in on Christmas. And to cash in on Dr Seuss.
The movie lacks charm. Nothing really works within it. Carrey's performance is tolerable, but I think Seuss would be mortified at how they've portrayed his character. The Whos of Whoville are some of the creepiest make-up jobs I've ever seen. Although I'm not surprised they made it screen looking this eerie, since Ron Howard is the director, and I've yet to be impressed by anything he's put on screen.
The one saving grace of this film is some really nice portrayals of Christmas-y landscapes. They do a great job of evoking that warmth and wonder of Christmas season.
Aside from that, this is a pretty bad ... Read More:

I remember watching this film when i was growing up and decided to have a flashback so i went online to buy this little beutie of a film.
I forgot how much i loved the character of Farmer hogget, amazingly played and he makes me feel all warm inside, wish he was my grandad :P
and who could forget about those cheerful little mice as a nice little extra.
I persoanlly think this is an amazing film that even adults can enjoy. Truely one of the classic family films that makes you feel all happy :D

This film is truly amazing. It may only appeal to people with a certain sense of humour, but I must be one of those people as I almost split my sides laughing. I was still randomly saying quotes from Zoolander about a month after I'd seen it!
As usual, Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson make a brilliant partnership; they have a similar sense of humour so you can see that they are really enjoying making the film.
This may not be the classic, thoughtful and deep film that some people want to see but in my eyes it is the best film I have ever seen, and would be perfect for a fun night in or sleepover.

Alright, first thing you'll think when you see this is "Oh look, it's another washed out horror movie that thought it would do well after the success of SCREAM and the revival of the horror genre in the late 1990s" - Well you'd be wrong. Sure, the acting in this film isn't great, at points it's pretty bad. But there are some genuinly creepy moments in this film.
The scene in which the music player is skipping to the ghost of the man with the axe who jumps down the well is one of the most nightmarish images I have ever seen in a movie.
The soundtrack is amazing and for some reason I can't place my finger on what it is. It's something about old music (such as "Mama Said") that makes a film like this really eerie. Anyway, I ... Read More:

I LOVE this film so much. It is so funny. The music is great, and the memories of the 90's are hysterical. The cast is absolutely fantastic. You'll love every character. This is a film that will have you smiling from start to finish. The soundtrack is fantastic.
Adam and Drew give a great performance. I love Adam's 'Outburst' song about Linda. Love John Lovitch's version of ' Lady's Night' .....'CHAKA KHAN'...brilliant !!!
I like the fact that Adam continously puts his friends and family in his films.
The Wedding Singer and Happy Gilmore are films you could watch over and over again.
Adam is a comic genius, and loved by us all. I have forgiven him for 'Going Overboard' (I'm still confused by that film...what ... Read More:

WELL !? How do you sum the Brady Bunch up in a few words ?! Cheerful, Cheesy and Ultra Camp !
The Bradys are all stuck in the 70s and are extremely kitch - they love their 'far out' catchphrases, clothes, furniture, house and attitudes. They are wholesome and pure - and therein lies their ultimate charm.
Mike Brady - never short of a long anecdote - and Carol - denser than the maids Meatloaf - head this wonderful family on a wacky adventure to raise $20k to pay a tax bill and save their home.
The children are delightful and each has their own peculiarity. With so many characters in one house it would be easy to get confused with them all or have some left out, but not in this case. And even if you are unfamiliar with the original all ... Read More:

Really enjoyed this film. It's not going to engage your brain much but its the type of film to keep you amused on a rainy day. There are some good comic moments and Reese Witherspoon and Paul Rudd are a good double act. Worth watching.
