This is among the best CDs I have ever bought! I've been listening to it for 2 months straight, and I'm still not sick of it! Listening to John's voice as he sings these songs makes me laugh, makes me cry, and occasionally makes me cry out his name in pleasure. There's a great selection of songs, and they are just sung so beautifully! Love it!

Why can the BBC not get the volume balanced properly? The menus have blastingly loud music compared to the episodes themselves, so you have to turn the volume down to select the episode and then up again to watch it. Minor irritation but no excuse for it from the BBC. Also the menu links you are forced to watch every time you want to go turn on the subtitles or something are annoyingly long. Let me watch the DVD already!
That said onto the review of the material itself.
Torchwood is based around Captain Jack Harkness from the new Dr Who series and Torchwood the shadowy agency "outside the government, beyond the police" set up to capture and use alien artifacts.
The (13) episodes themselves are a mix of suspence, horror, ... Read More:

I have bought all of John Barroman's cd's and this one carries on the tradition of great music made to sound fantastic. I can't wait for his tour next year. Already booked my ticket (may even go to more than one event). Great music. Cant wait for the next album.

I will be the first to admit I love this guy, John Barrowman has such a great voice but the quality of the recording does not bring this out unfortunately. I know for a fact that his voice is perfect as I have been to many live performances but this CD did not do him or his voice any justice. Lets just hope his new album Music Music Music will do him justice!! This is the 2nd review of this type as I am just finding that some of his old recordings are not done to the best quality.

Trace Memory by David Llewellyn is the second book I've read from the Torchwood series. The first was Twilight Streets, which to be honest left me disappointed. It was a good enough story; I just felt that it was nothing special. Nevertheless being a fan of Torchwood, I decided to give the books another go, so I purchased and read this one and I'm glad I did as Trace Memory is nothing less than fantastic.
All of the characters are there have been recreated perfectly. Especially the very complex Captain Jack Harkness. Even Owen's unique sense of humour is spot on. An example is when he tells Gwen that he's writing a musical about his experiences with Torchwood and he's "...gonna call it Weevil Rock You." The plot is brilliant, almost enchanting ... Read More:

Torchwood returned in January 2008 and having waited a year, it rocked.
With the brillent new characters of the show I thought that this was better then last season and the adventure was a bang. In episode 1 was Jack's old bofriend Captain John Hart. But he was a cool villan. Then Martha Jones came to the hub. That was brillent. With Gwen's wedding and Fragments, the season finally ruled. Exit Wounds was sad, violent and powerful and seeing them in Doctor Who should made it 10 stars.
Well Done Russell T Davies
Can't wait for Series 3: Children of time

Perhaps the slickest and paciest Torchwood novel thus far, Trevor Baxendale's Something In The Water sees everyone's favourite gang of sexually explicit Ghostbusters going up against things that go splat in the night in the local bog. That may not sound like an especially appealing summation and its not - although what the Torchwood team investigate in reassuringly non-toilet based. And that's basically the plot summed up, really!
I felt Something In The Water was a far easier and more entertaining read than its three predecessors, which seemed to be marred by plodding and often unnecessary attempts at fleshing-out the TV characters. Baxendale hits the ground running a lot more here, and there's less time spent pondering the grief of working for an alien-hunting ... Read More:

I was impressed with this album. The vocals are superb. I think this is Barrowman at his best, and prefer it to his more mainstream pop albums.
