My wife (for whom I bought it) says that this CD set is very restful and soothing and I have to say that I quite like to hear the singing in the background whilst I slave away at the computer. And, of course, the great thing is that we got two CDs for about the price of one. Excellent!

This Cistercian abbey has a continous history since its foundation. My only criticsm is that according to the Rule Cistercians should chant in the Ambrosian mode - very slow & ponderous, and this CD is a little too fast. One of the plus points is that Cistercians do not have choir boys so the overall effect is a deeper more inspiring chant.

The Priests

A wonderfully uplifting performance given by these 3 Priests along with singers from the Bascilica in Rome.The Vivaldi Gloria along with the Spanish Carol Hacia Belen are stupendous. What more can I say, except I hope that we will hear more from these three men and the choir to back them. A very moving talented performance.

I bought this fine album when it was first released, and knew then that it was something very special!

The monks and the Choirboys of this wonderful abbey, must be heartely congratulated on the stunning work that is "Gregorian Moods"!

I hope that this second effort which was preceded by that remarkable album "The Abbey" will not be the last work from these most talented of people.

Quite amazingly medidative qualities, I would heartily recommend this album to you.

For less than £4 this CD is well worth buying. The other reviewers who gave it 5 stars are not wrong. It does create a sense of peacefulness and calm.
