This stylized choral music is enchanting to listen to. It is apparent the musical arrangement for each track has been chosen with great care. The result is a vocal clarity that is very rare these days, without the elaborate intros that are so unecessary. I hope the choir can maintain this sound for some time, as sadly, boys get older, and well, we all know what happens then! Well done St Phillips Boys Choir! A beautiful selection sung to perfection!

I suppose writing a review of an album that is already five years old and has been enjoyed by many is rather like writing a report on the sinking of the Titanic. However, having only just purchased this CD, I feel I must share my comments. The St Philips Boys Choir - better known these days as Libera - create a unique sound on all their records. Having already bought their 'Libera' and 'Luminosa' albums, I had a fair idea of what to expect from 'Angel Voices 3'. I wasn't disappointed. Their use of 'close-mike' vocals is extremely effective, particularly on those tracks where a younger boy takes the solo. New Dawn

This was the first time I had heard the Libera group as I was sent the CD as a gift. To begin with I really didn't care for some of the music - remember I hadn't heard this style of choral singing before and it took a bit of getting used to, but I sat down on Saturday and listened right through and by the time it was finished I was hooked. I loved the setting of Bach's Air on a G String in particular, and then right at the end the performances of Blake's Little Lamb and the In Paradisum are exquisite. This is a very fine choir matching in quality the Westminster Cathedral choristers, and I really can't recommend the disk too highly.

I never buy albums but Libera have made me want to buy all of theirs! Their voices are angelic! after i heard them for the first time, i never found a choral group who could sing as well as Libera! This is truly one of Libera's best albums! I recommend these songs:
-Sanctus
-Ave Maria
-Salva Me
-Voca Me
...especially 'Voca Me' and 'Salva Me'. There aren't any downsides to their music...unless you hate classical music...

Libera - Visions

I recently purchased this CD for my Mum for Christmas because she kept banging on about how good they were. I had never even heard of Libera before I bought it. I have to say though, Mum was right. I am now a bigger fan than she is. The music and singing on this CD is absolutely georgeous. It has to be the most relaxing music I have ever heard. I urge anyone to buy it - I love all types of music myself and I am sure that a true music lover would not be disappointed with this CD.

Luminosa

As one who has only recently discovered Libera by seeing the 'Vespera' video on Classic FM TV, I visited their website, more through curiosity than anything else. After hearing some of the audio clips and seeing their videos, I felt I had to purchase the 'Luminosa' CD. I can honestly say that the music on that disc is the most moving and emotional I have ever heard. I defy anyone to listen to it and still have dry eyes at the end! The sheer beauty of the music and the complexity of the harmonies - particularly when one remembers that the boys are all aged 7 to 14 - takes you on an emotional journey that has to be experienced.

Truly Magnficent!

This sounded great on the TV AD BUT WAS A BIT DISAPOINTED FELT IT WAS MUCH OF A MUCHNESS AND WILL HAVE NO DIFFICULTY IN WAITING UNTIL christmas 2008 to play it again.

I felt I had to post to counter the handful of inexplicably negative comments. This album contains some absolute gems. My system is a recently acquired Bose "Acoustic Wave" - the sound quality is sensational. Don't get me wrong, not every track hits the button, but three or four are absolutely outstanding. A "must buy" cd.

Complete Libera

I discovered these angels on Classic FM and have listened to them regularly ever since. I'm not a religious person, but this is music for the soul. I listen to them a great deal and at times of stress they are a great comfort and I find anxieties just melt away, what more could you ask for. Buy them you won't be disappointed they are simply the best of this genre.
