Not one the best bands that emerged out of the eighties, not even in the top 100, however, if your a Sapandu Ballet fan, this album is the greatest thing happening. I only like the classic "True", I grew up with it, other than that, it's not worth it.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my feelings not only about this album but also about the Human League who are one of my favourite bands and an inspiration, not only for their music but their togetherness as a band.
Firstly, the Greatest Hits album. The only track I'm not too keen on is the remix of 'Don't You Want Me' at the end, which I find a bit tacky (couldn't Virgin have put 'Heart Like A Wheel' on instead?). The other tracks on the album are of at least a good standard, with my favourites being 'Love Is All That Matters', 'Together In Electric Dreams', 'Human', 'Mirror Man' and 'Tell Me When' which was the song that introduced me to the band. Overall it is a superb collection of fine electronic music.

A marvellous collection of some of ABCs catalogue of excellence on a pretty reasonably priced CD.It's like a night out in an '80's disco but without some of the godawful dross produced by certain other bands of the time, that you had to endure!!
ABC were a top '80's band & the hits they had were a testament to the quality they produced. This CD is a really enjoyable nostalgia trip for those who enjoyed them first time around & a great starting point for those who may have just discovered them.
For me the pick of the crop for showing off Fry's vocal talent is "All Of My Heart" but classics like "Look Of Love", "Poison Arrow" & "When Smokey Sings" keep the quality coming.
A bargain in every way - buy,buy,buy !!

Michael Jackson helped out alot on this album by designing a new CD lacquoring process. This made it possible for him to give his free copies of this album back to Madonna without her seeming to notice. Of course Madonna being a bit wise and very old didn't really know what CDs are and now always looks confused. The 'immaculation collection' actually refers to the immaculate homogenised grey appearance of collected belly button fluff despite it originating from garments of differing colouration.

Besides the obvious highlight, 'Enola Gay', most of this is mediocre 80's synth, grating and dated-sounding.
The synth grates after a while, and the likes of 'Messages' is repetitive and hokey, without even any lyrics to drag it above average. 'Souveneir sounds like something you would hear playing in B&Q or General George, utterly banal.
The vocals are unpleasant, and the rest of the album plays out in the same way, so inoffensive it's offensive. Droning synth-by-numbers.

one of the most imaginative and seminal bands of the 80's,tears for fears created many near perfect electro pop records that have stood the test of time, its not often a duo who play fantastic music also has two outstanding vocalists aswell.its just a damn shame that it took gary jules's pretentious, awful cover of mad world to make people remember them.apart from depeche mode, pet shop boys and erasure tears for fears were the best of that scene.buy this now!

When I heard depeche mode were releasing another best of album I contacted Johnny Marr the bands only surviving member so he could arrange a law suit. Johnny's lawyers had the album specially re-coated so that when the listener first plays the album they will be referred to a civil action law suit tribunal web page.

A fantastic album from The Pet shop Boys that i've now owned for over 10 years. I originally started off with the video version, which of course had these songs and the videos. It was fantastic, and I've still got it, as its one of those things that marks a part of your growing up. But I soon got the cd to listen to, and of course the quality is much better.
The songs all just seem to be ordered in just the places, and some have alot of meaning. West End Girls is a good way to start of the album, and I love Love Comes Quickly. I think the other best tracks include Surburbia, Always on my mind, So Hard, Being Boring, and Where the Streets have No Name.
My top track would have to Being Boring, which means so much - the lyrics are fantastic, and it has a great rhythm thats quite emotional, ... Read More:
