No other artist could come close to touching this album. Kid mixes so many genres together to make this album tantelizing and unique!. I bought this album a few years ago and to this day its novelty still hasn't worn off. Not only is it special in a way it's compelling in its origionality, but it is also warming to know that this album helped, if not revolutionised rock and rap by itself. This album stands out far beyond his other albums and prokes so many emotions in a wide range of songs. I strongly advise purchasing this album if you have found albums such as cocky, history of Rock or Kid rock or any of his previous albums appealing. It is an album which is full of heart and soul, and it should go down as one of the all time greats!. ... Read More:

Got this record after loving 'All Summer Long' and I was not disappointed.
This record follows on from 2003's fantastic self titled album and serves up some great Southern rock and soul music which has more in common with someone like The Black Crowes than his earlier rap metal output. There still some rap metal machismo on the likes of 'So Hott' and 'Sugar', but the rest of it is soulful and uplifting. Great summer music from an artist who is shockingly underrated in the UK.

Well, he's back! RIP to little man Joe C. This album is dedicated to the memory of Joe C, and Kid Rock mentions him in the first track Trucker Anthem. I think he expresses a lot of points in this album, things he done, said, been through, some of which is anger. As you listen to the album you will feel the hardcore guitar and pumping bass, especially when you decide to put it in your car stereo. It's all cocky, til you hit Picture. You hear something different, making sure its the right cd in the machine, man you hear that Kid Rock can sing and does he do it well, cocky enough he does. Country music maybe his next journey, because this is one album worth buying.

I once saw an interview where Chad Kroeger said he asked fans what made How You Remind Me work. People said the chorus, the catchy riffs etc. So basically that's what the man cares about which disheartens me. I bought The Long Road and I really like Someday, but on every album they make 3 or 4 singles and the rest appears to be just filler, something to pad it out to called it an album. Hopefully Nickelback realise their sell out status and make music for the right reasons, as the album title misleads.

Kind of a greatest hits CD i suppose, but live! Unlike live albums ive heard in the past, its not just the fans cheering over the top of the cd version of the song. This album ranks up there with KISS - Alive. Features the late great Joe C, and former Kid Rock DJ Uncle Kracker, along with Paradime and the red neck woman that is Miss Gretchen Wilson. Not only is it the only live album thats been released in ages, its a dam good one at that too! Coming from a fan of Aerosmith, Gun's N Roses, Kiss and so on, i would highlighy recommend it!

I'm not much given to hyperbole and "ace" is not a word I've used much since I was 14, twenty years ago, but then I haven't enjoyed an album this much since 1988 either. Certainly not one by Metallica. Death Magnetic, however, is just...ace.

AC/DC bounce back with an album full of fun and inspiration. Featuring their most catchy songs since the early 80's, the band have gone for hooks and melodies aplenty, apparently encouraged by producer Brendan O'Brien, who has also coaxed a more soulful, rather less strained performance from a very impressive Brian Johnson. Johnson, aged 60 when Black Ice was recorded, rolls back the years with a voice which whilst weathered, sounds strong and of more texture than for many a year. He sounds powerful and shrill in the style of his 80's heyday on tunes like Big Jack and Spoilin' For A Fight, adds his traditional gritty edge to superb, bluesy lines on Decibel, and just sounds altogether fantastic on the anthemic Rock 'n' Roll Train and Money Made.

If you are a fan of kid rocks newer material (country fried rock and roll, with some o.k. hip hop) prepare for a shock. Back in the day (pre Devil Without A Cause) kid rock was an underground rapper in the scene, or at least similar area that spawned Eminem and the Insane Clown Posse, with Esham leading the pack in terms of credentials. Could kid rock pull this style of music off? Well, the fact that his success only began when dropping such phat rhymes in favor of the rock and roll we enjoy today should give you a clue. This album is poor, but shows what was soon to come. A must have for fans of the early-mid 90's detroit rap scene, but not so important for anyone else. And that includes current Kid fans. Try if you dare, but don't expect greatness.

This album is in my opinion the best from Kid Rock yet. Whilst his first three mainstream albums; 'Devil Without A Cause', 'The History Of Rock' and 'Cocky', were each wonderful in their own right, this album has seen Kid Rock take a big right turn in the maturity of his music. This album sees far less of his rap/hip hop roots (although strong evidence of this still remains in the track titled 'Intro' which curiously isn't at the start of the album, but rather half way through it), and focuses much more the rock and country aspects of his unique style, most siginificantly made evident by his collaborations with Hank Williams, Jr. and Sheryl Crow on the album. This isn't to say that there isn't a 'heavy' aspect to this album. 'Jackson Mississippi' is a significantly heavy number, but the album ... Read More:
