I'm a fan of the Style Council, but after buying a few albums and not this best of. I would have to compare this with the 'Beat Surrender' Jam best of which features the Batman theme but not their first No.1 Going Underground. Equally baffling on this CD is the lack of the brilliant 'Speak Like A Child' and other great songs from a great band. My advice would be to either buy a better Best Of or spend a little more and get a few albums, can't go wrong either way as the genious that is Paul Weller always delivers the goods.

What a shame Squeeze never realised their commercial potential. A serious image problem (ie - they never had one) being the only explanation I can find. One thing is for certain; their songs were not to blame. Just listen to the brilliance of most of these tracks if you need any proof. Their entire career is represented here with the exception of anything from their best album "Play" and last album "Domino" (neither released on A&M). Although the only real hit on this compilation is the title track, the album's content is meaty enough with a few quirky surprises thrown in for good measure: The beautiful Vanity Fair (1981), the laddish It's So Dirty (1979) and reggae-tinged By Your Side (1985) have little in common stylistically, ... there are twelve fantastic songs here that are played over and over again and are always fun to listen to.
Scissor sisters are a fantastic band to listen to and their songs are amazing!!!!
this album i find is a step up from their first album(which i also love)and the music on each track shows a range of artistic style that really shows off their fantastic talent.
I Dont feel like dancin' is already a classic track,i love She's My Man with a fun beat and catchy lyrics,I Cant Decide is also fun and can be heard in the Doctor Who series three finale-The Last Of The Timelords.
Land of a thousand words has to be my favourite song by the band....why wasnt this used for Casino Royale????

With 45 tracks (and available for 2.99 pounds at "another online retailer" as I type this), it would churlish to not admit that this compilation is pretty good value if you can find it at a cheap price. Unfortunately, double CD various artists compilations often suffer from "mixed bag syndrome" and this one is no different. It covers quite a wide range of musical styles, so there's bound to be at least 5 or 6 tracks here that please everyone (although not necessarily the same 5 or 6!).

So whilst I think "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'", "Chasing Cars" and "Never Be Lonely" are clear standouts for me, other people might prefer other selections. I can't really give the compilation high marks though, because there are some stinkers (Hasselhoff shouting nonsense? ... Read More:

Girls aloud are the most fantastic girl group Britain has had for ages! All of the songs, are catchy and very very good! I booked tickets last week to go see them in tour next year! If your thinking of buying this cd, do, you wont look back!
