This is a fantistic Cd and deserves to be bought. The only problem is that they put on two songs that they have on Gorillaz[UK]:
'19-2000 (Soulchild Remyx/Remix)'
and
'Rock The House'.
Even though on the CD, they put put on a '(edit)' at the end, i think, that they just cut out a possible swear word.
Despite these setbacks, all in all this is a great album.

I had a gamble with this CD and it turned out to be amazing! The remix CD is really good and if you can get this for a few quid on amazon I would highly recommend it. There are some brilliant hidden tracks and remixes! Buy it!!

Monkey: Journey to the West

Back ground music this is not! This album is full of extraordinary sounds and feelings that are powerful and strange. It is impossible to listen to this as background music, but if you enjoy music for the range of emotions and physical experiences it evokes you will love this album. Yes, there is the trademark Albarn waltz underlying "I love Buddha", and the more westernised tracks tend to be underpinned by thumping Gorillaz baselines, but this album is as strange and different as it should be. There is no English, but Mandarin, many of the instruments are strange, and the melodies are rooted in Chinese folk traditions. Being new to the scene a lot were expected of cartoon band Gorillaz and they delivered in a way which was unbelievable with this fantastic debut album.

They came into the market having not a lot of success but were able to deliver in the form of their first single `Clint Eastwood' which reached number 4 in the UK charts but probably deserved higher with its cool style and interesting choice of lyrics.

The songs are very different from your average rock band. Because their mode of address is very unusual it struck a cord with a wide range of people. Demon Days

Shame there won't be any more from the Gorillaz, but at least it's another British band that went out on a high and really took a stand to make it all about the music, removing themselves even from the stage.

Also much better than the first album which didn't really have much more meat round the bones once you'd heard the biggest three singles.

Gorillaz Phase Two Slowboat to Hades [2006]

They strike again as with Phase One (Celebrity Take Down) I love the art work of Jamie Hewlett, been a life long fan. I love the Music the collective called Gorillaz produce. I love the videos. So what's my beef? It's the navigation of the DVD, while it may seem cool to some to need a map (Map provided, I kid you not!) to navigate each chapter of the DVD I like to be able to just drop the DVD in and go straight to whichever Video, interveiw or live performance I want. Not have to pull the map out try and navigate with various buttons on my remote to try and find what I'm looking for. Art for Art's sake? Hence why I dropped two stars from an otherwise excellent DVD.

D-Sides (Deluxe Edition)

If you are a Gorillaz fan, this is a must buy. I reccomend the Deluxe Edition as it is far better than the average cd case and comes with badges, patch and exclusive artwork! Also it is a lot cheaper than on the high-street - HMV are selling this for 50 pounds!

I love the art work of Jamie Hewlett, been a life long fan. I love the Music the collective called Gorillaz produce. I love the videos. So what's my beef? Much of the time bands who have gone into hibernation return with albums which are mere shadows of their previous work. This album is the complete opposite and successfully captures the eerie tones which occupy many of their best songs. I simply cannot pick a favourite from an album which oozes style.

If you are someone who loves music, of any kind or just appreciates talent and creativity. Then I HIGHLY suggest that you watch this DVD performance.

Grammy award winning Gorillaz are one of my favourite bands ever and their latest album entitled Demon Days, was THE GREATEST ALBUM I've ever listened to. I saw this DVD at HMV and I just had to get it, being a Gorillaz fan. I had no Idea how amazing this show would be.
