quincy jones has worked with some legends in his time ray charles,duke ellington,dinah washington,frank sinatra,michael jackson he is a fab talent in his own right!! walking into space was good and of course he worked with duke ellington and frank sinatra on an album way back and he was good mates with ray charles!! here we have anouther rod temperton classic aswell as thriller,off the wall,and he worked on the karen carpenters only solo album wow karen carpenter what a voice!! buy this album its fab!!

I'm not a music expert or anything like that. i just know that I like a good melody and pleasant sounds. I listen to this music in the car together with my 8 year old son and it puts a smile on both our faces. When ever I play this CD, anyone that hears it enjoys it's melodies and I keep havingt to buy it for my friends. This music is timeless and certainly sells Quincy Jones as a guy with a good ear for arranging different sounds and tempos within a piece of music. We can't get enough of the trumpets on No 3 i.e "Desafinado". We love the percussions in "Samba de Una Nota So" i.e tract 7. The flutes on track 9 and the trumpets on track 9 we could listen to over and over again. You can't go wrong with this music. My Dad is 70, I'm in my forties and my son ... Read More:

Sinatra At The Sands

This album is one of the best if not the best live albums I own. The show has superb reviews already and that goes without saying. I give it five stars not only for the performance but also the recording. If you turn it up loud and shut your eyes you can imagine the "Sands" with the slight crowd noise and odd "chinking" of the glasses in the audience and really feel and almost see that you are right in the middle of the auditorium with this fantastic band in front of you along with the worlds greatest singer - it's that good!

Back on the Block

Diverse, Jazzy, Funky and Soulful

I bought this album over 10 years ago and it still sounds as brilliant and in vogue today as it did then. I would even call it one of the best R'n'B albums of all time taking into account I am a big Stevie Wonder fan who unfortunately did not guest on this particular album. Quincy Jones a man who lives and breathes music, producing, arranging and sometimes composing for such greats as Frank Sinatra, Count Basie, George Benson, Michael Jackson .......... not to mention classic soundtracks to films such as The Italian Job and In the Heat of the Night. Back on the Block is one his best 'solo' albums.
