OK. Let's suppose you like Myleene Klass. Great, you'll probably think - a whole 2 CDs of music performed by Myleene. Wrong! There are only two tracks on which she performs. The love theme from Cinema Paradiso that opens the first CD, and the Satie that opens the second CD. Yes, she is a competent pianist. No, she does not demonstrate real flair on those two recordings.
The rest of the CDs are generally fairly indifferent recordings of popular classical pieces that appear to have been chosen for one of two reasons: either to promote another of EMI's "name" artists or to get some use out of a fairly moribund recording with one or two exceptions - the Prévin conducted tracks for example.

She's everywhere....magazines, advertistments, reality shows, presenting, modeling. Perhaps when she writes her own music she will be worthy of placement in the classical secion of music.
You would think she was the first women to give birth to a baby. get over it love ;-)

I'm not against pop/classical albums and artists per se, because I quite like to hear some of the world's greatest tunes given a good roll-over, but Vanessa Mae's contributions to the genre have always seemed far too forced and mechanical.
She is undeniably a gifted and technically brilliant violinist, and she is shown at her best when letting rip on Bach's Toccata, I'm A-Doun, Storm and Devil's Trill. However, Vivaldi's Four Seasons is such an overworked piece and the two movements included here are coarse and lacking in any musical feeling, certainly nowhere near the league of Kennedy for ostentation or Vengerov for warmth. And I'm sorry but her own compositions (Destiny, Aurora, Solace) are so bland they could be TV test card music. Read More:

I'm surprised by the number of reviewers who criticise Katherine because she has not performed in opera and then compare her unfavourably with leading opera singers. Nowhere on this CD (or any of her CDs and DVDs) is she described as an opera singer and her recordings do not claim to be opera. Her recordings do include some arias from opera (though not here) and these are sung very well, but she also includes Welsh songs,(again sadly none on this disc), hyms, songs from musicals and other works. This variety increases that buyers might not like every track. I bought this CD because it contains 'Samcta Maria' set to the music of the Intermezzo from Mascagmi's Cacalleria Rusticana' 'Be Still My Soul' the hymn set to the main theme from Finlandia by Sibelius ... Isn't it amazing what TV and a whole bucket load of hype can do.
This guy would not get a part in an amateur production of Gilbert & Sullivan!Of course it's all a question of "the kings new clothes",if we criticise him we don't have a heart/cannot hear how well he sings, or just don't appreciate talent.(Where is it?)
Well, Mr Potts sings off key(often)and when he finds the key he continues by singing flat.
Make the best of it Mr Potts because the fickle world of "popular" music will soon tire of you,and when they do they will tear you to pieces, as they discover the fabrication that has been passed off as talent.
Talent cannot be invented,as has Paul Potts,it comes naturally;and this voice is decidely unatural.

Grotesque, air brushed caricatures nearly put me off buying this. Not in the same league as the inspiringly beautifully natural first cover. WHERE'S THE SIMPLICITY GONE.
Slightly disappointed, just very slightly. I should have listened to my instincts and I wouldn't have missed much. I get more enjoyment from the debut album. This album is all right. But just all right. It's not got what the first album had - good choice of crossover songs. This time around they have picked songs that cannot be improved or sound similar to what's gone before. Shame because I love the first album - its one that I put on when I'm busy and before I know it I end up sitting down putting my feet up and just chillin right through to the end of the album. Every time! Its bliss. ... Read More:

I'm sure anything I say will not dim the future career of Miss Ross, but this album is not worth your money or your attention. Many of the songs are tired and over-done. A friend of mine insisted I listened to it - so I did - but it was a lame effort to shove together a cd as quick as possible. Andrea's voice is certainly mature and clear, and she is a beautiful young woman but she fails to convey emotion and direction in her songs. With the exception of 'White Horses', she lacks energy - as if she was as bored as I was. I'm afraid Webber may have made a mistake with this one, but I won't write her off completely yet because she is still just a kid. I predict she'll become huge (like Sarah Brightman), but please, no more albums like this one!

I will admit that when I first saw the track listing for this CD, I felt disappointed. "Come on!" I thought, "Katherine should be more original than this! Practically every soprano records 'O Mio Babbino Caro' at one point or another, and here are two common songs from the classical crossover genre, 'Nella Fantasia' and 'The Prayer'. Should I even invest in something that will only be a re-hash of things I have already heard many times?" In the end however, I decided that even with the unimaginative song selections, I would buy this CD.
I am very glad I did! There are so many gems here that I now consider this Katherine's best album. Surprisingly, "Nella Fantasia" instantly became a favorite of mine. Her rich, warm tones really brought this song to life in a way I had never ... Read More:
