This album is track after track of hits. Highly camp, naughty and lots of fun; if you enjoy Mika, Queen's more tongue-in-cheek tracks or Elton John's dance tracks you will probably enjoy this album!
While the fun and funky 'Take Your Mama', 'Music is the victim' (both with echoes of Elton John at his most upbeat), 'Comfortably Numb' (the fantastic cover of Pink Floyd's great track) and 'Filthy/Gorgeous' will have you singing and dancing unashamedly, the gentler 'Mary' and 'Return to Oz' show more depth and tenderness, and are both moving and beautiful. In my opinion just about all the tracks on the album are winners!
This is a cd that I come back to over and over again, it lifts the spirits with its infectious sense ... Read More:
"Hurrah!" presents the Scissor Sisters live in London in 2007 as only Hamish Hamilton can in his quest to get a DVD directed by him on your high street every Christmas between now and the end of the world. "Hurrah!" therefore, features the usual high quality/high saturation, style intensive jumpcuts, where you can tell something is happening - but not quite what. The main attraction is a 90 minute concert filmed at London's o2 Arena. Since I was at the shows, I can confirm that yes, the Scissor Sisters in person live are a great, brash, silly proposition that straddle the thin line between ridiculous and brilliant. As a band, they are an outlandish, stylish proposition that manage to weld the sincerity and pomp of any stadium act with the inherently ... Read More:

unbelievably great album - I didn't think they could easily better their first one, but they have! The only let down is the packaging of this edition - it's fun to start with but difficult to store on your CD shelf! The Bonus tracks on disc 2 are worth the 2 or 3 extra quid.

there are twelve fantastic songs here that are played over and over again and are always fun to listen to.
Scissor sisters are a fantastic band to listen to and their songs are amazing!!!!
this album i find is a step up from their first album(which i also love)and the music on each track shows a range of artistic style that really shows off their fantastic talent.
I Dont feel like dancin' is already a classic track,i love She's My Man with a fun beat and catchy lyrics,I Cant Decide is also fun and can be heard in the Doctor Who series three finale-The Last Of The Timelords.
Land of a thousand words has to be my favourite song by the band....why wasnt this used for Casino Royale????
love the album
YOU NEED IT IF YOU LOVE MUSIC!!!

This snappy sounding DVD makes you wish you were in that audiance. The DVD is good, but i wish they'd put the Filthy/goreous video on the DVD, but it's fantastic, you see the difference between the two laura video's!! If ANYONE knows the title of the song Jake dances to in the 'songs' section please say, because it's winding me up like crazy that i've never heard it before, but love it. I'll leave by saying, role on the next CD!!! 2006 is the year of the sisters!

Ok the reviews this film has, that say it is 'bad' are perhaps fair and just.
- but if you have read them and haven't guessed already then this film really does depend on YOU the viewer and your own experiences and MINDFRAME.
This film is one of those that CAN really work because it can connect to members of its audience on a level much more personal that say a stereotypical hollywood blockbuster (which are aimed at appealing to the masses) thus earning this the title "Art" film.
Despite my comment about large budget films, i can compare this to "Closer" (Nichols, 04).
I found that closer was a film i loved because i could really relate to it and the situations which engrossed me.
The same with this, you can put yourself in the shoes of the characters, ... Read More:

Torchwood returned in January 2008 and having waited a year, it rocked.
With the brillent new characters of the show I thought that this was better then last season and the adventure was a bang. In episode 1 was Jack's old bofriend Captain John Hart. But he was a cool villan. Then Martha Jones came to the hub. That was brillent. With Gwen's wedding and Fragments, the season finally ruled. Exit Wounds was sad, violent and powerful and seeing them in Doctor Who should made it 10 stars.
Well Done Russell T Davies
Can't wait for Series 3: Children of time

Well, it's a VERY long story. I 'accidently' clicked on this album and then 'accidently' read ALL the reviews, before 'unintentionally' preceeding through the whole checkout procedure until I 'mistakenly' pressed purchase! Stupid me! You can imagine how I felt when I waited for the CD to arrive, hoping no one would get to the post before me and thus revealing my apparent bad taste in music! Luckily that moment never came, although I thought twice about opening the package due to my 'unintentional' purchase. When I did, well it was like I was born again. You see, I'm a DAD and now thanks to this mesmeric album I feel COOLER than ever. My kids think I'm daft as I gyrate round the living room, my (now ex) wife thought I was a total fool for swaying my hips to the rhythm of the Rickster, but heh, she may ... Read More:
