This snappy sounding DVD makes you wish you were in that audiance. The DVD is good, but i wish they'd put the Filthy/goreous video on the DVD, but it's fantastic, you see the difference between the two laura video's!! If ANYONE knows the title of the song Jake dances to in the 'songs' section please say, because it's winding me up like crazy that i've never heard it before, but love it. I'll leave by saying, role on the next CD!!! 2006 is the year of the sisters!
"Hurrah!" presents the Scissor Sisters live in London in 2007 as only Hamish Hamilton can in his quest to get a DVD directed by him on your high street every Christmas between now and the end of the world. "Hurrah!" therefore, features the usual high quality/high saturation, style intensive jumpcuts, where you can tell something is happening - but not quite what. The main attraction is a 90 minute concert filmed at London's o2 Arena. Since I was at the shows, I can confirm that yes, the Scissor Sisters in person live are a great, brash, silly proposition that straddle the thin line between ridiculous and brilliant. As a band, they are an outlandish, stylish proposition that manage to weld the sincerity and pomp of any stadium act with ... Read More:

This album is track after track of hits. Highly camp, naughty and lots of fun; if you enjoy Mika, Queen's more tongue-in-cheek tracks or Elton John's dance tracks you will probably enjoy this album!
While the fun and funky 'Take Your Mama', 'Music is the victim' (both with echoes of Elton John at his most upbeat), 'Comfortably Numb' (the fantastic cover of Pink Floyd's great track) and 'Filthy/Gorgeous' will have you singing and dancing unashamedly, the gentler 'Mary' and 'Return to Oz' show more depth and tenderness, and are both moving and beautiful. In my opinion just about all the tracks on the album are winners!
This is a cd that I come back to over and over again, it lifts the spirits with its infectious sense of ... Read More:

A must for any die-hard fan, you've got to like Comfortably Numb because 4 versions is some going on one EP. The Atoc v Superbuddha remix of Filthy Gorgeous is very fresh-sounding and Electrobix is surely dragged sceaming and kicking from the Thomas Dolby archives. Genius. As if it wouldn't be.

there are twelve fantastic songs here that are played over and over again and are always fun to listen to.
Scissor sisters are a fantastic band to listen to and their songs are amazing!!!!
this album i find is a step up from their first album(which i also love)and the music on each track shows a range of artistic style that really shows off their fantastic talent.
I Dont feel like dancin' is already a classic track,i love She's My Man with a fun beat and catchy lyrics,I Cant Decide is also fun and can be heard in the Doctor Who series three finale-The Last Of The Timelords.
Land of a thousand words has to be my favourite song by the band....why wasnt this used for Casino Royale????
