This is an amazing follow up to his self titled first album which is great. This, for me, is even better. The album is full of happy Summer tunes. If you aren't sure about this album just buy it and I guarantee you'll love it. Once again, and I know it's always said but, if you like Jack Johnson, you'll love this. This is a really really good album! Get it!

Sleep Through The Static

I'll get straight to the point here: very, very boring and samey. Ordinary to the max. Die-hard JJ lovers will probably lap it up, but others - myself included - who expected something a little more hype-worthy and out-of-the-ordinary, will be left with a kind of blank "Oh, so that's it" expression on their faces if they didn't pay for it, and a sour taste in their mouths if they did. Try before you buy.

Lemonade

Has G. Love ever made a bad record??? The answer is NO!!! and this no exception. This album is a pure ray of sunshine from track one through to the last. As with previous G Love (and Special Sauce) albums, there are several highlights throughout. Lyrically it doesn't disappoint either. The highlights for me personally on this album are 'Ride', 'Hot Cookin','Holla', 'Can't Go Back To Jersey' and a 12 string masterpiece 'Still Hangin Round'. There is also a new version of Rainbow feat Jack Jonhson originally from the 'Thicker Than Water' soundtrack. Track 13 is a soul searching song called 'Breakin up' and could bring the biggest of men to tears. Pro Skateboarding for ages not enough...lets write a great record as well.

First three songs are the best opening to any album I've heard in about 10 years, the standard is nearly maintained all the way through.

Another artist that isn't afraid of trying out a few musical styles from one song to the next.

An excellent addition to any music collection.

Thicker Than Water

It has been said in most of the other reviews but im gonna get my say too!

Stick with 'bushfire fairytales', 'inbetween dreams' and 'on and on'. They are all great. Unfortunately Jack was way ahead of the other artists on this album.

The September Sessions

If you want a jack johnson album don't buy this...but if you want a mixture of Jack with some similar stuff then this album is spot on. As soundtracks go this is one of my favourites as it isn't samey like most - just feels like a great compilation.

Roses & Clover

I saw ALO supporting Jack Johnson in Notts a couple of years back and have been a fan since. Every one I have introduced to the band have become fans too, there's nothing not to like. Uplifting tunes that blend a load of influences to create there own unique sound (funky, bluesy, reggaetastic). The instrumentation is beautiful, the guitar, keys and bass flow together brilliantly. As the other reviewer said it's a far more consistant LP than their first go, they've found their "style" and it's a good one! Sounding like no-one else at the minute, it's a must for the summer, stick it on at a barbie and it's sure to get some heads bobbing. (if you're a Jack Johnson/G.Love/Frankenreiter/Costa fan you'll dig it for sure!)

Unfamiliar Faces

Following Songs We Sing must have been tough as every song on there is simply brilliant. At first Unfamiliar Faces was a let down, probably because the predecessor was so good, but I've persevered and its been worth it. Its taken a couple of weeks but I now rate this as highly (even if Miss Magnolia is a blatant rip off of In The Summer Time). An amazing talent
