Quite simply this is one of the best albums ever done by the Quo.Every song is excellent, remastering excellent, guitar tones and sound excellent the whole album is EXCELLENT.The songs move along at a brisk pace and all in all I can honestly say Hello is a hum dinger of a album, the band wouldnt find it easy in later works to match this benchmark sound of this astonishing work.
If you dond have this album and youre thinking of buying some Quo albums then I suggest this one first followed by the albums Quo,Whatever you Want and Dog Of Two Heads you wont go wrong.Hope this review has helped you in some way.Keep Rocking.

There are certainly classic tracks here, but for me this album is a bit of a disappointment after the awesome "Piledriver", "Hello" and "Quo" albums.
The standout tracks are Little Lady / Most of the Time, Down Down and Bye Bye Johnny. The remastered sound gives them even more oomph than my old trusty vinyl copy.
I find the other tracks a bit too samey and lacking in energy. Personal taste I know. They peaked again nicely for the "Blue for You" album, and then lost me again until "Just Supposin'".

Blue for You originally came out in 1976 and it was the final album in the quintet of early to mid `70s Quo albums that was released on Vertigo and that were all most definitely from the makers of... Beginning with Piledriver these albums more than anything else established Quo's reputation as true rock giants and by the time Blue for You appeared they had an army of fans, the Quo Army no less. Each of these albums are recorded in a style of heads down and plug in and play, nearly 30 years before the term took on new meaning for the computer generation. They possess a raw energy and invention married to an unerring talent for writing songs that drill right into the centre of your head and then refuse to get out of it. That is their genius and it continues to be overlooked ... Read More:

I saw Status quo on TV a year ago for the first time at the Concert for Princess Diana and I loved their performance. I had never even heard of them before (I live in Canada and they're not so well known over here)! I checked them out on Youtube and found a ton of their songs that I really liked. And was surprised to know that they never had any North American success but are actually one of the most successful UK acts of all time! I tried looking for their CDs at the local record store but I couldn't find anything. This got me to look on Amazon where I bought their albums "12 Gold Bars", this Piledriver album, On the Level, and the outstanding live album, "Live!" All were really solid and full of great songs. This album has 4 great songs and a few ok songs. The really great songs are:

I originally bought this album on vinyl in the early eighties and always thought that it was very good. If you are a hard rock or metal fan then this is the era of Quo that you want to hear with the more raw and brash sound along with bassist Alan Lancaster providing some of the vocals too which all helped give them a definite undiluted hard rock sound back then.
Since being into this album as a kid some 25 years ago I`ve been through the musical mill being into Metal ,House , Thrash , death metal , hardcore , cybermetal , Trance , goth metal , Nu-metal , metalcore etc and currently my fave bands apart from my own are Opeth Onslaught and Children of Bodom !
I wouldn`t normally recommend Quo to a rock/metal fan of today but their work from the early/mid seventies is surely worth a look ... Read More:

This is one of the beat albums that the band have released during there long and illustrous careers. The album rocks along at a fanatic pace, every song is strong and the remastering sounds excellent. The band listened to there fans and Whatever You Want was the outcome much to the fans pleasure. The band went bach to basics for this album and turned out this hum dinger of thumping twelve bar boogie and without doubt in my meagre opinion I would class it in there top four albums by them, other ones being;Dog Of Two Heads,Hello and the album Quo.If you like the no nonsence sound of the Quo you need to purchase Whatever You Want and play very loud and practice your guitar work on your tennis raquet.Hope this review helps you in some way.Keep rocking.

Well...when I bought the remaster a couple of weeks ago, I hadn't listened to 'Rockin' All Over The World' for many years (not since my original vinal copy!) but I always remember thinking it wasn't as good as the early stuff. And true, it might not have the instant WOW Factor of Dog of Two Head, Piledriver, Hello or Quo but I think it's a grower and a quick grower once you listen to it regularly and appreciate the quality of the songs on here. It's a different Quo, a more 'pop' sound and there lies the one fault...production isn't great in my opinion...too glossy, not enough of a live feel, and the tracks sometimes appear like they are mixed differently throughout the album making for a somewhat uneven sound.
BUT in my opinion this album is better than 'On The Level' and 'Blue For You' because there is less filler.

Never Too Late was the last album to be made by Status Quo before both personal and musical problems set in - drummer John Coghlan left in less than amicable circumstances during the making of 1+9+8+2.
Looking back, that is a real shame, because these now often talked about problems seem to overshadow the actual album - which is yet another top class effort.
Indeed, as an album Never Too Late seems to be overlooked by a lot of fans nowadays. Personally, I believe is a very underrated release, with many top drawer songs on it!
With the quality of the tunes on offer here, not for the first time I find myself puzzled as to why only one single was ever released from the album: ('Something Bout You Baby I Like' became another top 10 hit for Quo)
Other excellent songs include the title song, 'Take ... Read More:

Just Supposing is yet another top class album to put into the ever expanding Status Quo back catalogue of classy records.
With this album, Quo seemed to be in top form as they entered the 80's, and at this time there was no indication of what was going to happen in the latter part of the decade (and subsequently throughout the 90's) as Just Supposing absolutely rocks, with several quality songs.
The opening track, 'What You're Proposing', was the first single from the album and was deservedly a smash hit which summarily sets the tone for the rest of the record. 'Don't Drive My Car' and 'Lies' were then released as a double A side and also charted well but, in my view, Quo could have released these songs seperately and they would have done well - such is their strength. 'Rock n ... Read More:

This is really a great solid album from the band, the sound they have adopted here is very polished and includes brass section and backing female singers on some of the tracks.I have a large Quo collection and kinds class this album as Whatever You Want 2 quite similar sound.love the song accident prone, you also get a bonus track the single version of the song which is nice. This is also the last album to feature bassist Alan Lancaster who unfortunatly was ousted from the band after this album,he made a solo album down under called Life After Quo and guess what is brill if you can get it.
Hope review is of help.please check out my other reviews you might find something of interest.Cheers.
