this was a good buy. quite different in sound to the way the originals were sung. the background vocals were excellent. quite surprised it was londoners who did the music cos it sounded like Americans. a good album to listen to when chilling with friends and family.

This soundtrack from sister act 1 is great! How can anybody ever not like it!!! It includes all the songs that were in the film so if you like the film then you'll love this! A lot! Some songs are 'my god' and also 'ain't no mountain high enough' song in gospel with very powerful chorus'. Wonderful. The sound is amazing and will really make you feel happy and alive. Th songs have good beats, get you going and are compassionate! Buy this, especially if you liked the film!

African Spirit

This CD is wonderful. I am a big fan of Soweto Gospel choir, some wonder harmonies. The traditional songs are my favourite. If you ever get the chance to see them 'live' you will truly be amazed. They sound just as good, if not better than their CD's.

How can anyone not like this album!
I disagree with the amazon official reviewer on this as he/ she critises Whoopi Goldberg for spoiling the album with her voice...sure she hasnt got the worlds best voice but she can hold a note and pulls it off well in this album.

The best song for vocals has to be the amazing duet by Tanya Blount and Lauryn Hill, if that was ever released it would be massive.

Do yourself a favour and buy this album, you know you want to anyways.

The Fighting Temptations

Let's face it: the music in the film is brilliant, but this isn't the same music. Some idiot has has messed around with it and made it into some hip-hop/rapping rubbish. It's lost almost all what made it so good in the film. Consequently there's a lot of upset people out there who have found that the music on the audio CD bears little resemblance to the music in the film. Far better to make your own recording from the DVD; the two excellent songs are "Rain on me" and "He still loves me."

Having been a long time fan on the WoW compilations, this double album did not disappoint. Theres something here for everyone, from fast paced dance tracks to beautiful ballads. A truly worthwile purchase, a true blessing. It was so good, I had to buy Wow 2007 the following year.. and will continue to purchase them... Enjoy...

Amazing Grace: the Complete Gospel Recordings

This is a brilliant live album of Aretha singing some of the best gospel tunes I've ever heard. Her voice is out of this world, so rich and soulful it gives you goose bumps. The first disc is slightly better than the second, but you get over two hours of great music that will move you like only great soul/gospel can. Well worth a go.
