Binge - Orchestral Worksfrom: Marco Polo Release Date December 31, 1993 Having bought a number of the Marco Polo British Light Music series and been pleased with all of them, this is one of the best. A number of the composer's best known works are included but, for me, the best part of the CD is the works that I did not know. In particular the Saxophone Concerto, Second Movement is a real 'find'. Thoroughly recommended CD, fine recording, delightful music. If you know and like Elizabethan Serenade, String Song and Sailing By then you'll love the rest. |
