High School Musical is being talked about by teenager's everywhere, so I was determined to see what it was like. I asked someone I knew (who is obsessed with it) If I could borrow their copy of the soundtrack - And now I wish I hadn't. For staters the actual music is just over-used up beat dance tracks. With some weak mordern R and B thrown in. The things kicks of with a song entitled "Start of Something New". The song is merely just a badly written, horribly sang pop song. The vocals are very poor, there are signs of lack of emotion (in all the tracks). The second one, which is more of an R and B tune, is well irritating. Wow! Three words to describe this feelgood movie. Its summer vacation but its not all fun and games for Troy, Gabriella and fellow wildcats as they begin work at Lava Springs country club which Sharpay's parents own. Sharpay tries to snatch Troy away from Gabriella and in the meantime there is the Lava Springs talent show to worry about.
Filled with catchy songs, a talented cast and a good storyline this movie is clean and heartwarming...siutable for the whole family.

With two successful movies (and soundtracks) behind them, the original cast of High School Musical came together one last time to sing, dance, and act together. And fans of the first two will enjoy this soundtrack just as much as the others.

As you'd expect, the music ranges from pop to rock to Broadway to hip hop and back again. And I guess I've gotten used to it because even the more hip hop tracks don't bother me as much this go around. Of course, all the songs have a pop based that will appeal to the core audience of pre-teens. They know where their bread is buttered.

1) One Of Your Favourite Albums.
2) A Guilty Pleasure.

Seriously. A lot of people hate Hannah Montana thinking its a stupid kids show when look at the fantastic music.

The album starts with "We Got The Party", which is upbeat, and you will soon know everyword. Then comes "Nobodys Perfect", a frequent song on the show, and is more poppy than an explosion. Taking a break from pop comes "Make Some Noise", although having rock style is actually a slower ballad. But then it hits you-"Rockstar"-fast, addictive catchy. But "Old Blue Jeans" is a repititive-but GOOD song-how do I describe it? I got this film for christmas last year and, as a result i was pleasantly surprised at how different it was to all the other musicals. I first watched it as soon as i got it (for an hour); as it went on i thought how bored i was, i think this was because the story seemed to go on and on etc. I wasn't understanding at all what was happening; i realise that i am younger than most people that watch it ,but all my friends seemed to watch it and agree with my opinion of it. I am a big fan of musicals, however i am not a big fan of this one!

Hairspray (2007 Soundtrack)

I remember the original hairspray from when I was younger and loved it then and still love it now, even though the songs and characters are different its still amazing! the soundtrack has all the songs from the film that just make you want to be in that groovy era of the 50's/60's. I have the album in my car and can never resist a good old sing along. Definitely a feel good soundtrack to brighten up your day! love it and love Hairspray!

Top Trumps - Specials - High School Musical

Ideal for High School Musical fans. These cards are a perfect little gift for HSM fans. In the male dominated world of Top Trumps it is nice to be able to buy them for girls too. These were certainly a well appreciated item for my 7 year old girl. They are great as they are small enough to take to school and at 99p inexpensive too. At this price they would make ideal party bag fillers.
