Excellent voices overpowered by incongruous orchestral accompaniment.The richness of the voices was spoiled for one who wants a male voice choir to be just that.This cd does more than it says on the tin,unfortunately.

I'm surprised by the number of reviewers who criticise Katherine because she has not performed in opera and then compare her unfavourably with leading opera singers. Nowhere on this CD (or any of her CDs and DVDs) is she described as an opera singer and her recordings do not claim to be opera. Her recordings do include some arias from opera (though not here) and these are sung very well, but she also includes Welsh songs,(again sadly none on this disc), hyms, songs from musicals and other works. This variety increases that buyers might not like every track. I bought this CD because it contains 'Samcta Maria' set to the music of the Intermezzo from Mascagmi's Cacalleria Rusticana' 'Be Still My Soul' the hymn set to the main theme from Finlandia ... Spirit Of The Glen

Very ,very dissapointed with this CD, heard a bit on classic FM, rushed out to buy it, There have been 100s of albums with pipes and drums, and I though being The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards it would be superior. I regret having spent my money on this CD. look for budget CDs of pipe music, you will probably get the real thing, and much better.

Pleasant CD with some excellent tracks but overall lacks something Encore and the 1st CD had almost a bit sad as if they had come to the end of the road! I would say buy the DVD which shows the choir live!

For months I had been waiting for some new kind of music to place on my ipod and I became bored of most mainstream chart music.

Blake is a breath of fresh air. Okay, so it is a bit operatic, but they are far better than Il Divo. My own personal favourites is their version of "Take My Breath Away", "Gladiator" and "Vide Cor Meum" (which is from the movie Hannibal). The songs that are sung in Italian are a treat, especially if you like to romance things up with your missus... I would say this is a great CD for Christmas as well.

For months I had been waiting for some new kind of music to place on my ipod and I became bored of most mainstream chart music.

Blake is a breath of fresh air. Okay, so it is a bit operatic, but they are far better than Il Divo. My own personal favourites is their version of "Take My Breath Away", "Gladiator" and "Vide Cor Meum" (which is from the movie Hannibal). The songs that are sung in Italian are a treat, especially if you like to romance things up with your missus... I would say this is a great CD for Christmas as well.

Vivere - Greatest Hits

I have this CD on constant repeat! The music is so varied but holds your attention every step of the way. Bocelli's voice is one you just have to fall in love with. His "Romanza" is 1 of my favourites but "Vivo Per Lei" has me hooked also. GET THIS CD!!!!!!

This late 2007 album is another to add to the collection for Russell Watson fans.Its a little strange to grasp but the mix of classical and pop is sometimes a good one and Russell is the "Daddy" of crossover the Voice as he is also known as because he has power and range beyond most singers classical or pop that are round at the moment.
There has always been a debate over is classical best for the Voice? as he sings and entertains in his music and the passion and power shows what ever he sings!So its good to hear what else this versatile voice can do!What ever you may think of his success it is undeniable he has talent ,I am sorry but sour grapes just does not cut it with me his success is a reflection of his talent and voic.Come on ! if he was so bad no one ... Grotesque, air brushed caricatures nearly put me off buying this. Not in the same league as the inspiringly beautifully natural first cover. WHERE'S THE SIMPLICITY GONE.

Slightly disappointed, just very slightly. I should have listened to my instincts and I wouldn't have missed much. I get more enjoyment from the debut album. This album is all right. But just all right. It's not got what the first album had - good choice of crossover songs. This time around they have picked songs that cannot be improved or sound similar to what's gone before. Shame because I love the first album - its one that I put on when I'm busy and before I know it I end up sitting down putting my feet up and just chillin right through to the end of the album. Reason to Believe

I was rather disappointed, there wasn't the clarity in his vioice, and I thought including Cerys Matthews a BIG mistake, she's terrible! One good thing with Aled is being able to hear every word, and as usual there is sincerity. I couldn't shake the feeling that his voice seemed to be showing signs of strain, was this caused by his apparently singing in a lower key?

He has such a strong personality, I hate having to be critical. I certainly don't endorse Susie's review, especially as I've listened to this CD several times now.
