I've been a Amy fan since the start, so maybe i'm a bit biased when I say I prefer her debut album to her current one (which is still very good) but I always find myself listening to this album over her current one. I just think it's a bit more raw and authentic (and therefore maybe won't appeal to mainstream music fans as much?) and it really comes through on the album..defo a more jazzy vibe but I love it and it suits her vocals really well :) I did buy her new album which i also think it's brilliant but this is still my personal preference!

Loved this track from the first moment i heard it, the hype is certainly deserved where this artist is concerned, Lyrics are important to me and can effect how much i like a song but 'Back to Black's' lyrics have such power and combined with her strong and distinctive vocals they make a killer combination, the album is full of gems like this one.

Hearing this double act for the first time was commensurate to me with hearing I Get Around or I Feel Fine for the first time,swathes of vocal beauty matched with best Motown track that Carol Kaye et al never played on,everything on this disc reeks of Sixties RnB majesty,everything is perfectly arranged and executed,not a single note is wasted,within four bars Valerie becomes the song it was always meant to be,after hearing Ronson re invent Sail On Sailor on the Electric Proms,Ifound myself thinking to myself what I'd always felt was an impossibility,that being that anyone could produce a Wilson song better than the great man or his lil' brother,there seem to be no limitis to Ronsons talent,his rosta of artists on his cd harken back to Phillies ... Why do the tracklistings for singles with remixes on Amazon simply include only the song title? This is completely unhelpful in deciding if you want to purchase an item. The actual tracklisting for this CD is:

1. Love Is A Losing Game (2:37)
2. Love Is A Losing Game [Kardinal Beats Re-mix] (3:24)
3. Love Is A Losing Game [Moody Boyz Original Ruffian Badboy Re-mix] (7:16)
4. Love Is A Losing Game [Truth and Soul Re-mix] (3:58)

Track 2 sounds like a fairly hip hop take on the track. Track 4 is a slow track like the original, with a 60's soul sound. The standout track is track 3 which is a dubstep take on the track.

You simply cannot produce a gem like this without coming from the wrong side of the tracks. Amy has put her heart and soul in to this, she has lived it for real. A priceless addition to any music collection. You only get the chance to find someone like Amy once in a lifetime if you're really lucky. We've hit the jackpot so lets all enjoy her while we can. BIG UP to Amy and the production team behind her music. A perfect TEN.

On her debut album "Frank", Amy had already demonstrated her budding genius with tracks like "Stronger Than Me" and the stunning "Take The Box". On "Back To Black" she seizes her place among the immortals with a collection of songs that to my knowledge is unequalled in Pop history. The album is so chock-full of classics that it is hard to know where to start. Rehab [CD 2]

I bought this cd from amazon and I was very disappointed when I found out that one of the songs is missing. It is not in the cd. The cd only has REHAB- CLOSE TO THE FRONT - REHAB REMIX. If you want the other song, you need to buy the CD1. This is the CD2 . Amazon has it wrong.

The problems in her life are evident in this performance. Amy Winehouse is an outstanding talent as can be witnessed in the documentary segment on the DVD. In the main concert she is either high or pi$$ed or both and although musically it is fine, she is clearly struggling with her voice and relating to the audience. The quality of the songs really carry the performance.
The person in the documentary is a different performer completely. That Any Winehouse is vibrant, energetic and in great voice. Sadly she appears to have since deteriorated more and unless she takes a different road is heading for tragedy.

Amy Winehouse is a colourful character with a colourful life, and that's what makes listening to her story so appealing for me. I am a huge fan of her music and of her as a person, the biography is packed with information about her and how she got to where she is today, going in depth on a range of subjects relating to her life and her music. If you're a fan of the woman then I gurantee you'll enjoy this.
