This is the same album as Danny the Dog.
Danny the Dog is the Hong Kong (English) name for the film. Unleashed is the American name for the film. I found this out when listening to the cd thinking, "I've heard this before". Looking online I found that the film was rebranded and I already had the soundtrack to Danny the Dog....
Release Date February 10, 2003
Great album - it was not going to live up to Mezzanine but what would? Take this album on its own merits and its a real pleasure to listen to and as long as you are not too hung up on their past glories you will enjoy. Butterlfly caught and Special cases are excellent.
Release Date April 20, 1998
I bought this album because it had "Teardrop" and "Angel" on it,but I took the opportunity to sit in a completely dark room and properly listen to this...and couldn't stop listening to it the day after as well! It's calming, dark and beautifully written, especially songs like "Risingson", "Teardrop" and "Black Milk" (my new favourite!)
Buy this album, prepare to fall in love.
Release Date December 31, 2007
Just how many more albums can Radiohead make of such quality? Other bands become very samey, or try to change and fail. Somehow Radiohead manage to change whilst staying the same and keep producing top quality albums. This album just gets better and better with each listen, and in my view a Radiohead classic already.
Release Date September 26, 1994
I remember well the period of the early nineties - and the sounds that were in my life then. Much of my leisure time was spent clubbing: fast-paced, loud, excitable and generally full-on. It was a good time and the music I heard when I was out was fantastic. But I often felt some "humanity" was missing. During those 'down times' I'd drop Protection onto my record player and slide back into a feeling of warmth, honesty and embracing lyrics. "Lyrics!" I thought, that's what's was missing! What was the point otherwise? It was simply music only of the 'thrill factor'. Of course I listened to other classics that my collection contained, but this was the sound at the time. And Massive Attack had seemed to tap into the zeitgeist.
Release Date April 28, 2008
Much of the time bands who have gone into hibernation return with albums which are mere shadows of their previous work. This album is the complete opposite and successfully captures the eerie tones which occupy many of their best songs. I simply cannot pick a favourite from an album which oozes style.

I notice one of the tags for this album is 'music'. Yeah!
Coldplay, whadda they sound like?
well, sort of... music, really.
Whoo! I got to get me some of that!
Yes, it's the sonic equivalent of watching paint dry...
I'm sorry. I don't HATE this stuff. But that's the point... it's so WET. When did people like this get to masquerade as rock musicians? It's bad for you. Your children will grow up thinking this is what a rock band sounds like. Zeppelin who? no, I wanna listen to the guys who go "waaa.. waa... I'm sad and feeble..." When there's the likes of Gutter Twins, Aquila, Rufus Wainwright and The Veils out there barely making a dent, you should not be spending your money and valuable time on this.
Release Date June 01, 1991
In reference to the review dubbing this a one track album, what album were you listening to???? I am offended by your review!
Yes unfinished sympathy is a truly great song, but is by no means the best on the album! Blue lines is one of the greatest albums ever and every track is a classic!
Release Date March 27, 2006
I haven't heard the whole album but I just want to say that Live with Me with Terry Callier is the sexiest record EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It even beats Night Nurse by Gregory Issacs and that's saying something!
Release Date February 20, 1995
As with all music its a very strong matter of personal taste, if you like massive attack you won't neccesarily enjoy this. I love it, but it took me a year before I actually enjoyed it and now is one of my most played album. Great for zoning out and getting lost...
