This is a high-quality DVD with wonderful footage of a great artist in action: performing live in concert in Paris, at home, and on the street in his music videos. The music is wild! Considering the title I was afraid that the whole DVD might be animated, but it isn't. Mika also talks about his life and work and reveals some of his innermost thoughts. I can't wait until his next DVD comes out!

some people have panned this album but i think its produced some of the best kylie songs ever e.g wow, in my arms, nudity and sensitized.

This snappy sounding DVD makes you wish you were in that audiance. The DVD is good, but i wish they'd put the Filthy/goreous video on the DVD, but it's fantastic, you see the difference between the two laura video's!!
If ANYONE knows the title of the song Jake dances to in the 'songs' section please say, because it's winding me up like crazy that i've never heard it before, but love it.
I'll leave by saying, role on the next CD!!! 2006 is the year of the sisters!

Kylie Minogue sure knows how to treat her fans. Not only do we get the DVD of the brilliant Showgirl Homecoming Tour that got its CD release earlier in 2007, but we also have amazing documentary film, White Diamond that i luckily got to see on its premiere night at the cinema. That night remains to this day one of my finest memories of being a Kylie fan, the film illustrating just why she is one of the world's favourite popstars.

Only Rufus could have done it. Such a talented singer and songwriter in his own right with nothing to prove.

Deciding to pay homage to one of entertainments greatest and most loved stars should have been risky and full of pitfalls. I am sure it was, but you will never notice as it turned into a complete and utter success.

A show to please even the most hardened lover of the past and most die hard critic of tribute albums.

It has been a project of love and because of that it has worked so well. You can feel the tribute to Judy and you can sense the overwhelming respect that Rufus has for her memory, and, even with all of that, the performance portrays his own unique personality.

The Trick To Life

I really like the whimsical, slightly retro, ELO-inspired sound these lads create. I loved Goodbye Mr A and I liked Worried About Ray as singles so I was intrigued as to what the rest of the album would sound like.

The album as a whole is good, but not great. There are no other tracks which stand out to me, and it sounds rather generic, like a cross between ELO and The Feeling, which should be good, but this album does not really excite or inspire me, despite it being listenable.

The problems in her life are evident in this performance. Amy Winehouse is an outstanding talent as can be witnessed in the documentary segment on the DVD. In the main concert she is either high or pi$$ed or both and although musically it is fine, she is clearly struggling with her voice and relating to the audience. The quality of the songs really carry the performance.
The person in the documentary is a different performer completely. That Any Winehouse is vibrant, energetic and in great voice. Sadly she appears to have since deteriorated more and unless she takes a different road is heading for tragedy.

If, when you hear the warbling sound of Brandon Flowers erractic maybe flaky voice your ears prick up with glee, The Killers secretly brilliant lyrics pummelling through you, then I see you have no choice but to purchase this album immediately. You will not be put off by the simularity of the many tracks. (I frequently start singing one and accidently somehow blend it into another part way through.)
Nevertheless for the rest of us it is a good (rather long) collection of many moderate tracks, but intertwinded with some sparkling gems, true rarities. Nothing less than is expected.
A good heart gushing chat on the phone with a friend you haven't seen in a while to tide you over whilst you eagerly await their homecoming.

Thank the great one that the Spice Moles have disappeared back to their mansions after sucking a large pile of money from the world for a lip sync show and a Greatest Hits??? compilation which sold so well in Australia,they cancelled the tour.What a shame.But what about the people that did buy this album,entered the competion here in Oz to win tickets for the show only to have it pulled at the last minute.This whole exercise was nothing more than money grabbing by talent-less has-beens that made a few good recordings in the 90's(thanks to quality production/songwriting etc.("Viva Forever" is a great song!)),were very popular for a minute,came crashing down in a squabbling mess,hating each other and only made three very average albums full of filler!I weep for the ripped ...
