This was once my favorite band, they had good music, and very good songs. This album comes out, with the hope it is going to be something reminiscent of the good old Westlife, but NO. This is not the kind of music you would hope for from WL: repetitive at some points, nothing original, you hear it and you get the feeling of 'been there, done that', totally forgettable. Listened to it twice, then that's it. Have the boys lost their inspiration??? Do not know, but if things that are original, new, and different start come up, then that might not be in their favor on the long run. Backstreet Boys, had a much stronger return with their latest album, now that was original and ten times better than this album.

Ok lets cut to the chase. This album is AWESOME. For people that are already BSB fans: This album shows a side of the boys that has yet to be uncovered until now. They are all much more mature and you can hear that in the music. Not only is everything much more relaxed (nick doesn't sound like he's on the verge of popping neck veins) but the songs are much more grown up and on a level that even grown ups can apprecite (no more teeny boppin' to *lets have a party*). They haven't ditched their trade mark backstreet style, it's still there but is perfectly accompanied by an alternative feel (bsb meets lifehouse/matchbox twenty).

Spirit

This album seems to be one which you either love or hate. Personally, I love it! Whereas some people feel that after a year's wait, this does not live up to the hype, I would definitely disagree. It is very rare that I find an album where I love every single track, but this is it. The main problem for Leona is that she went through the x-factor singing flawless renditions of some of the world's best known and best loved songs. Unfortunately, therefore, she was almost expected to produce an album of tracks which could rival these songs. And there is barely ever an album, no matter how great the artist, that contains nothing but classics. Lets be honest, though, Leona is the X-Factor's most deserved winner and is seriously talented. Blackout

Three words to describe this, awful, awful and awful, it deserved to be the flop it was. Britney may have made a couple of decent pop songs a few years back, but her days are over, she now looks hackneyed and cliched, she'll be remembered far more for her personal problems, than her music

Breathless

In every way, this CD is such a better release than his first album, which built on the post-X-Factor ballad schmalz - here, Shayne can flex his vocal muscles much more freely with an impressive mix of R&B pop originals and a couple of covers. Amongst the latter is one of the best cover versions of Just Be Good To Me that I've heard - a well produced track carried by Shayne's mellow vocal.

Some of the new tracks are quite instant, infectious numbers - you'll find yourself humming the refrain to If That's OK With You when you least expect it - and the number of filler tracks is low (something quite rare in an album these days!). Inconsolable

Both songs on the CD single are absolutely amazing, the kind of songs you never tire of hearing. Even if you're not a Backstreet Boys fan, you can't fail to love the beauty of both Inconsolable and Close My Eyes, their voices are just fantastic.

Taking Chances

Wow.
I wasnt expecting to like it so much!! At first i thought taking chances was rubbish!! But no.. its very very good actually!!
Celine's version of "alone" is amazing!
I also dont understand why she released a video for taking chances, and i never saw it on british TV once!!! Why??
I have the single for "Eyes on me" i really love that one!!
Some others to look out for:
New Dawn- Her voice is stunning in this one!
Skies of L.A = Very pretty!
Fade Away= Great song. Its quite fast too!
shadow of love= Equally as great and up tempo!!
9.5 out of 10 overall. "thats just the woman in me" kinda spoils it... otherwise its great!! x

This album is wicked,when i listened to it for the first i was hooked,here is a review of each track:

About you know-10/10 This song is wicked and very catchy,it stayed at #1 for four weeks,one of my favourites off the album

Never gonna dance again-10/10 Another catchy song,all the girls vocals sound brill on this track

Denial-8/10 I loved this song when i first heard on the album i really liked it but once it became a single i thought it got overplayed that is why i have only given this track 8/10

My love is pink-10/10 A really catchy tune,i love the chrous,one of my favourites on the album

Change-10/10 A really nice ballad,showing off the girls vocals,the video is wicked,the part when they are covered in black body glitter reminds ... Read More:

One year on this sounds as fresh as ever but I'm still wondering why they didn't release Girl Overboard as a single??
