Well first of all I only bought this album for the Hybrid Remix of Name Of The Game on the 2CD release. Having heard Vegas a number of years ago and given it plenty of chances I found the whaling sirens that seemed to accompany nearly every track starting to grate very quickly.
I decided to give this album a try and after a few listens began to appreciate how much more mature and refined the sound was. My favourite track on here is most certainly Blowout and this tune epitomises their progression in style, to one that is more thoughtful and measured rather than raw and experimental. If you are a fan of electronica get this album and give it a few listens!

I loved the first Community Service mix by TCM, but I really do think this one surpasses it. There is so much to recommend on the record, although it is arguably a bit more commercial than the first (not that you hear a lot of Evil Nine and Koma & Bones played on the radio, but if you listen a lot of breaks, most of the artists will be very familiar). I don't think the commercial factor detracts from it though - if anything, it is a retrospective of some of the really great tunes that have been floating around for the last few years.
Amongst the highlights are cracking mix of Roadhouse Blues by the Doors mixing sublimely into We Have The Energy by Evil Nine, the welcome return of Keep Hope Alive (the first TCM tune I ever heard ... Read More:

iv owned this album for a few years now and it still gets played frequently, alot of peoples views tend to liken them to the chemical brothers, which i do agree they are similar, but at the same time very different. they share similar beats and sounds, but TCM sound very sharp and have a unique "distorted" sound to them. i can listen to this album all the way through, where as with the chemical brothers i tend to listen to selected favorite tracks.
most dance fans will already own this album, but if you dont then i strongly reccomend it! in my opinion TCM hold there ground against other great dance artists such as; the chemical brothers and leftfield
i also own the other TCM albums and they are also brilliant. "legion of ... Read More:

Much of the time bands who have gone into hibernation return with albums which are mere shadows of their previous work. This album is the complete opposite and successfully captures the eerie tones which occupy many of their best songs. I simply cannot pick a favourite from an album which oozes style.

Crystal method produce an industrial sound which is crisp powerful and chillout, they are masters of their genre and defy good music in all senses. This is one of my best albums because the music flows like a mountain stream from a rocky plateau down to a raging river. Its enormous its fantastic - I wouldnt dare expect anything better from these guys- i could listen til this album every mintue until i die- incredible!

This is more of a warning than a review. Basically, every track on the album has two seconds of silence at the end, including the first track "Prelude" which should seamlessly merge into "Slam". Other than this one instance it isn't that annoying, but if that kind of thing would irritate you, you may be better off looking for the original version of the album, which was mixed properly: Hold Your Colour
If you are looking to put the album on a computer or portable media player (iPod, etc.) there are workarounds for this. Once you have bought and ripped the album to your computer, either download a replacement copy of "Prelude" from the original, or edit the track yourself using a program like Audacity. In terms of whether this album is better or worse than the original, ... Read More:
