This is a really great selection of songs and even though most appear all too frequently on numerous compilations celebrating this period, the album would still normally rate five stars. However, I am surprised that none of the previous reviewers point out that not all the recordings are the originals as stated but inferior re-recordings that lack the nostalgia of the originals, e.g. Only Sixteeen by Craig Douglas, Wonderful Land by the Shadows and Pat Boone's Love Letters In The Sand. This really lets it down and there really can be no excuse for this from a label of the pedigree.

I know Mr Diamond lets do another album together, says Mr Rubin and like the last one strip it back and bore everyone to death.

Dull, dull and dull. What are you all talking about i was asleep quicker this time than last time. Even live he tries to liven them up a bit.

I have seen Neil Diamond live many times and own all his albums including this one JUST BECAUSE YOU FEEL YOU HAVE TOO. Please bring back the old Neil Diamond maybe not the Heartlight one but the Forever in Blue Jeans one would be nice.

This brand new compilation for the UK market compliments Bobby Vee's 3CD Singles Collection released a couple of years ago. It contains all the UK hit singles.

Two points to remember about this CD. Firstly there are the usual big hits and very rare cover versions taken from Bobby's 60's albums, like 'Will you love me tomorrow'. A number of Buddy Holly's covers appear as well which depicted Bobby's association with Buddy Holly before his tragic departure. His covers were a tribute as well as performing with 'The Crickets'. The compilar researched this well to include famous hits and a blend of unsual songs for this 'very best of ...' so you wouldn't have a collection like the 'Singles 3CD' with exactly the same tracks on.

A good compilation and slightly different to some previous mainly due to the inclusion of the RCA single 'Solitaire' - a Mike Pender solo in effect- and 'Hearts in her Eyes 'from the Sire era. What is consistent throughout the album is the strong voice and jangly 12 string lead guitar sound of Mike Pender. He sings lead in all but a few tracks from the early days when Tony Jackson led vocals. That Mike Pender Voice and guitar sound can still be heard today - Mike Penders Searchers - his band still performing regularly and recreating that 'Sixties Searchers' Sound.Mike also appears regularly in other Tours with fellow Sixties stars as a solo artist

Ok, when i first buy my cd i always drift through it, listen to the song with a gd start and gain a first impression. First impressions weren't good. so i left it a couple of weeks and decided to listen to it again, this time the whole way through. thinking i didn't like it i was pretty reluctant to do so, but i did and i was shocked, shocked at how i had completely missed coldplays aim. to create a quility album which isn't too full on. every song is brilliant in its own way, hardly any of the songs are the same but they are all great. if coldplay havn't been your thing in the past give them another go, you may be pleasantly surprised.

I Believe - Very Best Of The Bachelors

I've always loved the Bachelors and grew up listening to their music, dad was always playing them...of course I had a crush on them, after all they were two great looking blokes from Ireland with superb voices.
It's a great CD with all my favourite songs and makes for wonderful lazy Sunday morning listening. Just to sing along with none of the hissing and static that used to go with vinal records is a bonus as well.
If you are a fan of the Bachelors then buy this CD I can promise you won't be disappointed. Just listening to Marta...wonderful,hmmmm!!, happy memories.
