I can't believe the reviewer (Debbie) who says she didn't know most of these tracks! If she was there in the 1980s, she must have had ear plugs in and a paper bag over her head! This album is a great compilation at a bargain price - fantastic for listening to in the car, or quizzing your mates (who was that?), or demonstrating your vast knowledge of 1980s pop trivia. For the discerning listener, this series of albums prompts wider research into some of these artists - the excellent Blancmange, for example, and whatever happened to Kon Kan?
At less than £1 per disc, this is amazing value. For those who weren't there it provides a pretty good overview of what was happening in that decade.

Top of the Pops (TOTP) - The 80s

I found this box set on tv and bought it the next day. It has been really good listening to all the old 80's tracks. It is full of all those tracks you hear on the radio and recognise and miss hearing. My daughter will not admit to listening to what she describes as 'wrinkly songs' but it is amusing to hear her sing along.
Well worth buying if you enjoy listening to songs with real catchy lyrics that are easy to understand

Ok, when i first buy my cd i always drift through it, listen to the song with a gd start and gain a first impression. First impressions weren't good. so i left it a couple of weeks and decided to listen to it again, this time the whole way through. thinking i didn't like it i was pretty reluctant to do so, but i did and i was shocked, shocked at how i had completely missed coldplays aim. to create a quility album which isn't too full on. every song is brilliant in its own way, hardly any of the songs are the same but they are all great. if coldplay havn't been your thing in the past give them another go, you may be pleasantly surprised.

The film was great to watch. Several songs were good and it was overall a enchanting film. The only let down was the ending but other then that it was a really good film.

Here & Now: Very Best Of The 80s

I loved the 80s. Born early 70s, I was at secondary school during the 80s and loved all of this music. All the tracks are listed in the product detail so there isn't much to say about what's on the CD except I'm sure there's plenty of others that we all thought equally as fab that could've gone on. In fact, I think if they hadn't duplicated some artists then this would've been an idea. Because the tracks are all the original artist and it's a collection of previously recorded hits there isn't anything to comment on the type of music. The packaging is 3 CDs in their own separate case inside a slip box. My personal preference was for CD1 but CD2 is just as good. I wasn't as struck with CD3 but I still had a good sing-song in the car (when no one was with me lol). A great ... Read More:

i would first like to agree with the person who wrote the feedback/reveiw number 6 how can you have a cd from the 80s without micheal jackson? micheal ruled the 80s no - one was even close to the king of pop. i think they should take the cd back and seriosuly consider putting a jackson classic on it.

This 3 CD boxset is crammed full of the greatest hits from the best decade of music --- the 80s!
It makes for a good introduction for anyone who dosen't already own an 80s comp or just for those who want to relive the music.
I wouldn't say that this is the best set to buy on the market, many of the biggest hit singles of the decade haven't been included but all the same, there's enough good songs by some great artists to keep the customer happy.
