Connected -12" 90s

I have been a follower of the Triple CD 80's era 12" collections since the first one was released a few years back. This collection serves as a reminder of just how underrated the 90's are, and also how bland this period could be too, which ultimately leads to disappointment with this collection.

The set starts off strongly enough, but quickly runs out of steam and feels like the compilation team were scrapping the barrel a little. This isn't helped with the third CD of mainly Acid Jazz tunes some of which have not aged very well, and most of them havebeen available on other compilations for some time..

Obviously designed for the younger generation, Step Up 2: The Streets is a well choreographed and fast paced movie that has less of the drama of the first, but a lot more of the message, 'It's not what you have, it's what you make of what you have'.

The storyline was lacking a lot after the first, but I found the dancing and the rawness of this film a lot better than the first.
It seems a lot less polished than the first also (Perhaps due to style of dance or new directing), but nethertheless it's a good film.
The dance scene at the end was truly something and much better than anything in Step Up, although the rain involved played a big part im this.

MOS Chilled 1991-2008

I agree that MOS are always just re-hashing old classics, again and again and again. But this album is better than that! Besides, if you have all these tracks already - don't buy it!

But this compilation has a lot more integrity than all the other "churners". There are quite a few tracks that you wouldn't expect - it's not all commercial at all. Also, the album remains consistently enjoyable. Many other MOS CD's seem to start with great tunes, and then fade into a load of "filler" tracks - just there to pad the CD out. This one doesn't!

I have a fair few chill out albums, and this one includes many of the best tracks from those. It's a great album, very enjoyable - I bought it for myself and 2 other friends! I definitely ... Read More:

I'm only writing a review to let you know that when it says its coming from Amazon, it actually from a company in Jersy "Indigostarfish".
It's all in good condition, but when it says NEW, I expect it to be wrapped in plastic, so I can break the seal. This wasn't!
I didn't want to leave this feedback here, but you can't rate Amazon itself.

Back to the music, in short this album is awesome.
When first heard I thought what a good album, but it gets better and now is a great album. ONE OF THE BEST!!!

Ignore the politics of Mark Doyle, Hed Kandi, Fierce Angel, honestly ignore that. The track listing on CD1, the apparently "twisted side of dance" begins with a remix of an Adele track and then a Daniel Beddingfield song. Robin S appears somewhere on one of the other mindless cds yet again with show me love for the 345th time this year.
Nuff said, for those of you with a tenner to spend save it for a kebab, this album is beyond credible and yes, I bought it

it wasn't until Disturbia and Take A Bow that i became a fan of this smashing R n B star....and i saw this album for a great pice and i got it.
Umbrella was an awesome lead single but it didn't persuade me to buy the album the first time round.
but now this release was out...i had to get it....and my gosh is it an amazing album.
it's the equivalent of Michael Jacksons' THRILLER album...amazing stuff.
Madonna did it with Like A Prayer....now Rihanna the r n b equivalent has done it...and made it entirely personal and extremely enjoyable.
while Britney Spears CIRCUS is gonna knock it off the top spot as the album of 2008(i'm sure it may do so as Womanizer is spectacular)...for now Good Girl Gone Bad is definately the album ... Read More:

Once in a while a band springs into popular consciousness fully formed and dripping with talent. The Script are one such. Great voice, excellent drumming; songwriting, playing and arranging all of high quality. Other commentators have drawn parallels with John Mayer, Coldplay, Paolo Nutini and Sting, and they are not too wide of the mark. Interestingly, those comparisons are intended to highlight an unease over originality, but a common thread is also that these artists are so adept at what they do, many people find them annoying.
